The Economic Affairs Division helps member countries to improve economic management and governance. Joining its Small States Environment and Economic Management Section, which helps to build the resilience of small states and strengthen their environmentally sustainable development, you will make a difference by supporting, implementing and reporting work in the thematic areas of climate change and the Lake Victoria Commonwealth Climate Change Action Plan and mainstreaming environmentally sustainable development.
This will include: progressing projects, contracts and publications; preparing briefings and materials for public outreach; researching specific topics and searching for data; liaising with governments and contacts in international organisations; and representing the Secretariat at technical meetings.
With a degree in environmental law/policy, climate change, development, law, human rights, politics, or similar, you must have project management experience at national or international level in a governmental, regional or international organisation.
You must be able to operate effectively in our multi-cultural setting and be a national of a Commonwealth country.
