GIZ International Services in consortium with other qualified partners have submitted their Expression of Interest for the up-coming EC-funded tender: “ENPI – Clima East: supporting climate change mitigation and adaption in ENP East countries and Russia”.The overall objective of this project is to support partner countries so that they are better equipped for greenhouse gas emission reductions and better prepared to deal with climate change impacts. The specific objective is to foster improved climate change policies, strategies and market mechanism in the partner countries that are well informed about the EU ‘acquis’, by supporting regional cooperation and improving information access to EU climate change policies, laws and expertise.</div>

<h3>Your tasks</h3>
<div class="nomargin">The specific Terms of References have not been published yet but responsibilities are assumed to include:- Technical cooperation, capacity building, regional seminars, expert facility, , information work on the EU climate acquis.<br />
- Technical assistance and support to build-up of national or regional emission trading systems in Ukraine, Belarus and other interested countries.<br />
- Organization of study visits to Brussels and other EU Member States.<br />
- Managing and implementing a significant flexible and demand-driven climate change expert facility.<br />
- Developing and implementing a high-class Russian and English language Internet site.</div>

<li>Raise the profile of BITC as the authoritative voice on employee wellness and engagement.</li>

<li>Develop and execute an effective marketing and communications strategy, identifying key audiences, messages and implementation plan.</li>
</ul>

<li>Promote BITC’s Workwell Model and other campaign resources, in particular BITC’s Public Reporting Guidelines on employee wellness and engagement.</li>
<li>Create a media plan to support the strategy and develop relationships with key media contacts, while proactively placing stories in the media.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Write and co-ordinate press releases to promote campaign achievements and activity as well as responding to relevant news stories.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Develop a strategy to promote the profile of the Campaign Leadership Team through speaking platforms, blogs and media profile.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure the content of the Workwell section of BITC’s website is maximised as the ‘must go’ destination.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Manage the Campaign’s Linkedin discussion site with up-to-date news and events.</li>
</ul>

<li>Provide marketing and communications support to effectively promote the campaign’s events including the Workwell Peer Learning Programme.</li>
</ul>

<li>Support the recruitment of sponsors for BITC’s Workwell Award and identify other sponsorship opportunities.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Write case studies to communicate the stories of all Workwell Big Tick winners and develop further case studies to populate the online Workwell model.</li>

<li>Maximise other social media channels including developing a schedule of blogs for our Leadership Team members and other stakeholders</li>

<li>Manage the print and production of any campaign materials.</li>

<p>In this challenging role you will be responsible for managing and supporting different CR projects and initiatives mainly focusing on environmental topics like climate change and water scarcity. On top of your project work you will be coordinating our environmental reporting data management system, oversee our greenhouse gas reporting and support reporting according to the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. Furthermore you’ll be responsible for communicating the progress of our CR initiatives internally and externally via CMS-based applications (Websites, Intranet and newsletters). Besides contributing to the other day-to-day activities involved in managing our global CR processes you will coordinate different initiatives and events to raise our employees’ awareness for sustainability.</p>

<p>ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is an association of 1,200 local governments in 68 countries that are dedicated to sustainable development. It has 15 offices servicing its members while developing innovative projects and events and is an international not- for-profit association and network perceived as the international representative of cities for sustainability. The European Secretariat is based in Freiburg, Germany.</p>
<p>The European Secretariat of ICLEI &#8211; Local Governments for Sustainability seeks to fill the position of a Project Officer (Expert) Climate Change Adaptation &amp; Ecosystem Services Management with its Sustainability Management &amp; Urban Governance team.</p>
<p>ICLEI&#8217;s member cities drive innovation by pioneering the development and application of new processes, instruments, methods and tools for local sustainability. ICLEI promotes in- tegrated and cyclical management and governance of all sustainability related policy areas. The Project Officer Sustainability Management and Urban Governance supports local governments throughout Europe in implementing innovative governance approaches and integrated management in a variety of urban themes, with a special focus on climate adaptation and ecosystem services.</p>
<p>He/she will do this both in the framework of larger projects and consultancy services offered by ICLEI. The Project Officer will be involved with implementing project activities, take over coordination activities and coordinate small to medium-sized projects, both independently and as part of a project team. More general project activities, presentations, facilitation, but also project development and acquisition activities and other tasks are also part of the position. The position is based on projects and services, and will be supervised by the Directors for Sustainability Management and Urban Governance.</p>

<p><strong>Tasks and responsibilites</strong>:</p>
<p>•Independent implementation of project activities implementation in co-ordination with the Programme Directors Sustainability Management &amp; Urban Governance (in particular in the field of Climate Change Adaptation and Ecosystem Services Management),</p>
<p>•Co-ordination of small- and medium sized projects in close cooperation with a coordinator or the programme director, including communication with partners and funders, preparation and implementation of meetings and workshops, development of training curricula and materials, dissemination, reporting.</p>
<p>•Preparation and implementation of (pilot) projects in European and – if necessary &#8211; non-European countries</p>
<p>•Development of guidelines and handbooks related to sustainability management (and in particular on climate change adaptation and ecosystem services management)</p>
<p>•Contribution to further development of ICLEI’s European Programmes on Sustainability Management &amp; Urban Governance and the topic of Climate Change Adaptation and Ecosystem Services Management, in particular to concepts and methods for governance and management strategy development, project development and implementation further activities of European Programmes Sustainability Management &amp; Urban Governance and the topics of Climate Change Adaptation and Ecosystem Services Management</p>

<p><strong>Skills and qualifications</strong>:</p>
<p>•Professional experience: Advanced understanding of climate change adaptation and ecosystem services management, local sustainability management systems and governance practices.</p>
<p>•Experience in working with/for local governments in projects or as trainer/consultant.</p>
<p>•At least two years in a similar position.</p>
<p>•Education: Academic degree in a relevant field (environmental or sustainability management, climate change management, urban /spatial planning, etc.). Specific expertise in local sustainable development processes will be an advantage.</p>
<p>•Computing: Use of MS Office, databases, e-mail and www; experience in web editing, desk top publishing and/or graphics software will be an advantage.</p>
<p>•Organisational skills: High communicative competence (orally and in writing), Strong writing, presentation and facilitation skills, team player, pro-active working style, ability to work self-organised within a complex team.</p>

<p>De Projectleider/Adviseur geeft samen met het online de online strategie vorm en bewaakt als over-all projectleider de voortgang van alle lopende online projecten, inclusief ontwikkeling van de nieuwe corporate website en de integratie van een nieuwe social media strategie. Daarbij is hij/zij verantwoordelijk voor het realiseren van een zo groot mogelijke conversie en het zo effectief mogelijk inzetten van het online budget.</p>

<p>Lloyd’s Community Affairs team runs three grant-making charities and a large community involvement programme in East London, on behalf of the Lloyd’s market. As a result of the team taking on a wider CSR remit combined with sustained growth in volunteer numbers, we are looking for a professional, creative and supportive person to join our team next year. The team currently consists of Community Affairs Manager, two Community Affairs Executives and one part-time Community Affairs Assistant. The role is based in the iconic Lloyd’s building in the heart of the City of London.</p>

<h2>Overall purpose</h2>
<p>A busy and varied role managing the day-to-day operations of Lloyd’s Community Programme (LCP) and assisting with communications and events for Lloyd’s charitable work. LCP is an employee volunteering programme working in East London and involves around 1,500 volunteers from across the Lloyd’s market, each year. This year Lloyd’s Community Programme was shortlisted for the prestigious Lord Mayor’s Dragon Award for community involvement.</p>

<h2>Major responsibilities and accountabilities</h2>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Core responsibilities</strong>:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Day-to-day management of Lloyd’s Community Programme’s (LCP) existing volunteering schemes to achieve volunteering targets, with particular responsibility for existing literacy, numeracy and employability/raising aspirations programmes. Involves working in partnership with voluntary sector organisations (Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership, East London Business Alliance and others) to recruit, train, induct and monitor volunteers, and liaise with volunteer co-ordinators across the Lloyd’s market.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Supporting Lloyd’s Community Programme (LCP) Management Board; helping to prepare agenda, papers, minutes and driving forward follow-up action plans; liaising with the Finance Department to oversee annual membership donation renewal process and monitoring income and expenditure</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Managing our new flagship project Aim2Attain with our partner college Cambridge Heath Sixth Form College and its three feeder schools.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Maintaining relationships with Lloyd’s companies who are members of Lloyd’s Community Programme and occasionally bringing new companies into membership.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Planning, organising and producing events and communications associated with LCP, in particular summer volunteer celebration event</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Updating <a href="http://www.lloyds.com/" target="_blank">http://www.lloyds.com/</a>and MyLloyd’s (Lloyd’s intranet), producing regular e-newsletters for volunteers and supporters</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Liaising and maintaining good working relationships with external community organisations and charities and annual grant application process. Facilitate annual reviews with key partner organisations.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Maintaining accurate records of volunteer and company involvement on the LCP database.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Undertaking measurement and evaluation of levels and impact of volunteer involvement including the annual LCP volunteers’ survey and completing the London Benchmarking Model (volunteering and LCP element only).</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Assisting with events and communications for Lloyd’s Charities Trust.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Dealing with day to day correspondence and general enquiries in relation to LCP.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">• Excellent personal communications skills – both face to face and written. The post will require production of external communications and correspondence to a high standard. The post holder should also be confident at giving presentations and be able to quickly establish credibility with a roomful of people, including at a senior level.</p>
