Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health quiz
This Global Strategy was introduced by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2010 to address the various health needs of women and children around the world in line with the Millennium Development Goals.
This quiz gives you an opportunity to learn about the important role of women’s and children’s health in development and how the lives of women and children can be improved if all stakeholders play an active role and follow an integrated approach to implement the strategy at an individual, community and national level.
Responsible Business in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk
The quiz allows you to learn more about what constitutes responsible business practices in difficult operating environments. It also helps you learn how to design a constructive dialogue between all the stakeholders that is required to put these practices in place.
“Guidance on Responsible Business in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas: A Resource for Companies and Investors” was jointly published by the UNPRI and UN Global Compact in 2010. It aims to assist companies in implementing responsible business practices in conflict-affected and high-risk areas consistent with the Global Compact Ten Principles so they may maximize their long-term financial performance and make positive contributions to peace and development, while minimizing risks and negative impacts to both the business and society.
INCLUDE Pathways to Community Investment
INCLUDE is the final report of the INCLUDE project, led by UPJ (Germany) and Business in the Community (UK) in partnership with various European bodies, and supported by the European Community Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity. INCLUDE provides regional and local intermediaries or brokers with a resource to help them engage with businesses in innovative cross-sectoral partnerships.
This quiz gives you an opportunity to learn about the significant role of intermediary bodies – such as chambers of commerce, public authorities and civil society organisations – in providing pathways for business to contribute towards the solution of societal challenges.
This quiz explores one of the themes of the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development and is based on the UN publication, Green Economy: Why a Green Economy Matters for the Least Developed Countries’ (LDCs). The quiz examines the idea that LDCs possess the economic conditions, the natural and cultural assets, and the policy setting to embrace, if not lead, a green economy transition, which would in turn accelerate their development.
